Who are we?

The Otley Men’s Forum has been going for over 50 years and is your local social group, here to bring friendship and collaborative discussion to guests of all ages.

Every other Thursday at 10am (except in summer), Otley’s men meet for good coffee, bright conversation and educational talks on a wide range of interesting topics – from Everest climbs and Icelandic trawler tragedies to a life in showbusiness.

What you can expect

Welcoming

The Otley Men’s Forum prides itself on being a warm and welcoming group, open to men from all ages and walks of life.

Whether you’re new to the area or simply looking to meet new people, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and the chance to build lasting friendships.

The relaxed format and inclusive spirit make it easy for anyone to join in, ensuring that everyone feels valued and part of the group from the very first meeting.

Inclusive

We welcome men of all backgrounds, beliefs, and interests. There are no barriers to joining – just a shared desire for companionship, conversation, and enjoyment. The group values mutual respect and open-mindedness, creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, heard, and appreciated.

Whether retired, semi-retired, or simply seeking connection, all are encouraged to take part and contribute to the friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Educational

We offer an educational experience through our regular programme of talks by a wide range of guest speakers. Covering topics from climbing Mount Everest to a life in showbusiness, the talks are both informative and thought-provoking.

Members have the opportunity to learn something new at each session, broaden their perspectives, and engage in meaningful discussions – all in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
